Band Festival Recall Song
The 2006 15 th Annual Chiayi City International Band Festival last year was
on put stage in the Chiayi City Cultural Center Plaza bustlingly on December
2. Visitors gathered together at the site and the general public flocked to
the plaza to appreciate. There was a full pack of crowd with a bustling scene.
For this grand occasion for the band sector in the country held once a year,
over hundred domestic bands, banner troops and originality parade troops performed
an entire day of parade on the most bustling Zhongshan Road of Chiayi City and
just the number of performers was close to ten thousand people.

Activity was the major program of that festival. Close to one hundred bands and
originality parade teams and huge groups conducted a full day of performance
along Zhongshan Road , Chiayi City . The close distance contact allowed general
public to feel the passion and charm of these bands.
Chiayi City Cultural Affairs Bureau expresses that as the 2006 Band Parade Activity
was the first time to join this originality parade contest, forty nine troops
were invited to join. The band was the theme but it was extremely eye-catching
with various types of stage properties, costumes, special performances and large
team formation and this allowed the passion of the parade activity to be much
better than before and the general public could enjoy more while they were watching.
What worth mentioning was in the parade teams, sixty members who participated
in the performance in the first annual band festival in 1993 assembled a team
to participate. Young people who participated in the band performance during
their high school days were now the backbone of the society but they still could
not forget about band and they all rushed back to participate in this activity
from various places in the country. |
